Today, I decided to share my research on my 3x great grandmother. She was called Jane Scarth and later became Jane Baxter, after marrying William Thomas Baxter. I do not have any photographs of her, but her life-changing move to England from the Orkney Islands was very interesting to research! Read her full story here!

Today I have decided to research my great grandmother Alice Baxter (nee Capon). She passed away 16 years before I was born, meaning that I never got the chance to meet her. Despite this, I have heard a lot about her from my family and I am lucky enough to have photographs of her too. Read her full story here.
Research: Harold Hunter
My great uncle was called Harold Hunter, but was known by many other names, to many people. I had a lot of time for my uncle Harold, as he was a very funny, caring and genuine man. He was always able to make everyone and anyone laugh, and could easily lighten anybody’s mood if they were feeling down. I miss going to visit him, listening to his stories and laughing at his jokes. Today I have decided to share what I know about my great grandfather, William Hunter, who was more commonly known as Bill. I never met him, but I have always thought that I would have gotten on well with him. Luckily I have photographs, facts and stories about him, so I do feel like I know him quite well.
