Research: George Henry Alec House

George was my 2x great uncle (the brother of my great grandmother). I did not know him, but through my research, I have learnt a lot about him. I have heard many stories and have seen lots of photographs of him. Today I have put all of this together for you all to read! Read his story here!

Research: John Hunter

Today I have decided to share my research on my 3x great grandfather John Hunter. He was an agricultural labourer from Burton Pidsea in East Yorkshire, England. Not a lot is known about John, but I believe him to have been a very hard working man who had to look after his wife and 10 children. Read his story here!

Research: Harold Hunter

My great uncle was called Harold Hunter, but was known by many other names, to many people. I had a lot of time for my uncle Harold, as he was a very funny, caring and genuine man. He was always able to make everyone and anyone laugh, and could easily lighten anybody’s mood if they were feeling down. I miss going to visit him, listening to his stories and laughing at his jokes. Research: William Hunter

Today I have decided to share what I know about my great grandfather, William Hunter, who was more commonly known as Bill. I never met him, but I have always thought that I would have gotten on well with him. Luckily I have photographs, facts and stories about him, so I do feel like I know him quite well.

Research: William Cecil Hunter

My great uncle was called William Cecil Hunter, but was more commonly known as Cec. I have heard many many stories about him and his unmatchable sense of humour, kindness and generosity. He was known and loved by many people. It is such a shame that I never was able to meet him.
